Core Gameplay Prototype: Castlevania-Inspired

This project is a focused representation of the core gameplay mechanics from classic Castlevania games. Designed as a small prototype, it distills the essence of movement, platforming, and combat found in the series.

Features:

Exploration and Platforming: Navigate a castle-themed level with mechanics like running, dashing, jumping, wall-sliding, and wall-jumping.

Combat: Perform a three-hit combo attack, complete with animations and retro-style visual effects.

Dynamic Enemies: Skeleton enemies patrol their territory, pursue the hero on sight, and attack when within range.

Impactful Interactions: While there’s no health or damage system, enemies are visually stunned and knocked back on hit, with a classic Castlevania white blink effect.

Controls:

Move: A / D or Arrow Keys

Jump: Space

 Dash: Shift

Attack: Mouse Left Click

This game aims to highlight the fundamental gameplay elements that define Castlevania. It’s a non-lethal, visually engaging slice of what makes these games memorable. Perfect for fans of retro platformers or those curious about core mechanics design.
